Transcription: Of the Great Sphinx I can tell you little, for its story is lost in the sands of the desert. It is a symbol of the kingship of Pharaoh, the intelligence of the human head, and the strength of the lion's body. The Great Sphinx is entirely cut from one huge chunk of limestone which was left over after the area had been quarried. It is 139 cubits long and 38 cubits it's high at its tallest point.
